A great night for Angus General Practice at the RCGP Scotland Awards in Edinburgh

Dr Alistair Acheson became a fellow in recognition of his long service to general practice in Abbey Health Centre and GP Out of Hours service.

Carnoustie GP, Dr Elaine McNaughton, collected the prestigious Alastair Donald Award. The award recognises outstanding achievement in the areas of service delivery, education, research and wider contribution to society.

The RCGP Scotland/Scottish Government Cluster Local Improvement Project Award went to the South West Angus GP Cluster for their innovative work in improving access to support for mental health and wellbeing. They work closely with third sector organisations, Penumbra and Parent to Parent, allowing access for children and adults to almost instant one on one support and help. Both organisations have had a huge impact on the patients and their families and are hugely valued by the community they serve.
