The First Minister announced yesterday that Perth & Kinross and Angus are to move up a protection level as cases of Coronavirus (COVID-19) continue to rise in these areas.
Angus and Perth and Kinross local authority areas will now move from Level 2 – where they have been since the new levels system was announced last week – to Level 3 alongside The Dundee City Council area. The change comes into effect from 6am on Friday, 13 November. Fife has also been elevated to Level 3.
Full details about yesterday’s announcement on the changes to COVID-19 protection levels can be found on the Scottish Government website.
Although there is no non-essential travel into or out of a Level 3 area, there is an exemption for essential travel for work and also an exemption for people travelling for health, e.g. hospital and healthcare appointments.
