COMMUNITY RESILIENCE IN ANGUS
TO PREPARE – TO RESPOND – TO RECOVER
GET READY FOR WINTER
WEDNESDAY 25 SEPTEMBER 2019, 6:30pm – 9pm
EASSIE & NEVAY HALL,
How well prepared are you and your local community for the forthcoming winter and other incidents that might affect you?
The impacts of severe weather and other emergencies can have significant and sometimes devastating effects on our communities.
There is no time like the present to start work to ensure YOUR community is fully prepared and is ready to both respond and recover in advance of any incident.
Do you know what you can do to help?
It is vital that we plan together with the Emergency Services, the Council, NHS, Utilities and other voluntary groups. To enable us to do this, it is essential that we understand not only your role, but those of our partners too.
This short workshop will provide an excellent opportunity to make sure you are “match-fit” and ready for whatever the coming winter throws at us all.
This session will outline the following:
- To provide an opportunity to consider community resilience plans, (formal
and informal arrangements)
- Your role
- The role of the statutory agencies, partners and community groups
- Sharing knowledge with others
- How it all fits together – command and control
- How we will work together – “eyes and ears” on the ground.
To book a space, please contact Fiona McDonald at firstname.lastname@example.org no later than Friday 20 September.
