Adults with Learning Disabilities

This service covers both Day Care and Residential Care services for adults with learning disabilities.

Day Care

Adult resource centres are available in Angus for both men and women with learning disabilities and can cater for those with profound and multiple needs and those on the autistic spectrum. You have to be 16 years of age or over to attend the resource centres.

Placements at the Centre are based on an assessment undertaken by a care manager. Following the outcome of this assessment, if appropriate, arrangements are made to attend the Centre.

Based on the care management assessment attendance at the Centre can vary from a half day a week to several days a week to match your needs and interests, as long as places are available.

For those that have a specific assessed need, Lilybank Resource Centre has a well-equipped sensory environment and can access the therapy pool at Rosehill Resource Centre.

You are very welcome to visit the centre, but please contact the manager on 01307 473093 to arrange a time. You may want to visit with your care manager or carer.

Lilybank Resource Centre is open Monday – Friday, 8.45am – 4pm.

You can make a request for a place, or get someone like a friend, relative, carer or GP to make one on your behalf.

You will be appointed a care manager who will carry out an assessment and arrange a place at the centre, if this is appropriate.
