This year’s theme is mental health for all

We all need support with our mental health and wellbeing at different times in our life. But – not everyone has someone they can turn to when they need help.

There are a range of services in Angus to support good mental health and wellbeing. Some new, easily accessible local supports have been developed in the past year. This includes prevention and self management information available on the Angus Health and Social Care Partnership website, and mental health and wellbeing peer workers and social prescribers in your GP Practice. These new supports have been developed to enhance traditional services such as psychology and community mental health teams for adults with a mental health disorder.

We can all promote better mental health and wellbeing by supporting those around us and noticing changes. For example  – friends who are much quieter than usual or who are less interested in things they used to enjoy, a family member whose mood is different than usual, a colleague who seems really worried or a partner who is not sleeping.

Many people are finding that their mental health and wellbeing is affected by COVID-19. You may be very busy, but small actions can really help.
