The purpose of Angus Carers Strategic Partnership Group is to develop and deliver a local Carers Strategy and Improvement Plan encompassing the needs of adult and young carers in Angus. The group meets around 8 times a year and its core membership includes representation from operational health and social care services, Angus Council, Angus Carers Centre, Angus Carers Voice Network and local third sector organisations which support carers in Angus. The group reports to Angus Health and Social Care Partnership’s Strategic Planning Group.
The Group’s main objectives are:
- To prepare, review and evaluate a local carers strategy and project manage the strategy’s improvement plan
- To oversee content related to unpaid carers in the Strategic Commissioning Plan and Annual Report
- To work with the Strategic Partnership Group to achieve the group’s aims
- To communicate and engage with adult and young unpaid carers in Angus and ensure that a broad range of carer experience is represented on the group
Arrangements for meetings and membership are reviewed annually with the aim of broadening representation from unpaid carers and the third sector.
