World Mental Health Day 2022

World Mental Health Day – Monday 10th October 2022

The Angus Mental Health and Wellbeing Network (AMHAWN) comprises statutory and third sector providers, service users and carer representatives from the whole mental health spectrum, including children, adult and older people. Its vision for Angus is to support all agencies to work together to promote prevention and early intervention, service improvements and effective links with other strategic planning groups. The aim is to achieve the best outcome possible for the citizens of Angus in relation to all aspects of mental health and wellbeing, including suicide prevention.

AMHAWN is working together to promote World Mental Health Day on Monday 10th October 2022. This year’s theme, set by the World Federation for Mental Health, is ‘Make mental health and wellbeing for all a global priority’. Mental health problems exist in our lives, families, workplaces, and communities, and can have an impact on everyone, particularly because of Covid, and with the current cost-of-living crisis. We need to do as much as possible to prevent mental ill-health – as individuals and as a society. We also want mental health to be treated on a par with physical health. World Mental Health Day is a chance to talk about mental health in general, how we need to look after it, and how important it is to talk about things and get help if you are struggling.

AMHAWN will be promoting a range of activities and events that will be taking place throughout the week, the fantastic work of our partners, and where you can get support when you need it.
